This might have been quite the misstep tonight.

If you’re not familiar, Arrived is a crowdfunding investment platform that allows anyone to invest in single-family residences from the comfort of their own home. For as little as $100 you can buy shares in single-family investment properties around the country. Then Arrived will rent them out, or list them on AirBNB in order for investors to make a return on their investment.

Arrived’s Head-of-Investor Relations took to /r/arrived subreddit tonight to highlight a reply on X that their COO/Co-Founder, Alejandro Chouza made to U.S. Congressman Ro Khanna.

In which Ro Khanna, was talking about investor backed companies buying up single-family homes and renting them out.

But then right away they decided they wanted to publicize it in their subreddit, /r/arrived.

It seems they wanted to suggest that investor homeownership on Arrived is the same as single-family homeownership.

Is this something they should be bragging about?

Arrived buys up homes off of the available market, lists them on AirBNB, or rents them out.

Is investor homeownership on Arrived is the same as single-family homeownership?
