Tesloop is currently all over the internet trying to get everyone to think it’s doing something groundbreaking by saying it’s offering city-to-city autonomous travel inside of a tesla.
Sorry Tesloop, you’re not fooling anyone, you’re taking drivers, putting them inside of a Tesla, and letting them drive with their hands hovering over the wheel for 5 hours. Congrats, you’ve created a Taxi cab company that uses Teslas.
Even though Autopilot is there to help, Tesloop’s drivers are still screened and interviewed, and they go through background and driving checks. They’re also trained on all the tech aspects of driving a Tesla; besides Autopilot, they learn about suspension and driving mode settings, for example.
Sigh.
