Facebook is using your phone to listen to everything you say

”Facebook says that its app does listen to what’s happening around it, but only as a way of seeing what people are listening to or watching and suggesting that they post about it.”

The independent has a great post about this.

Last year blackberry releasesed the PRIV, which had a nifty feature of letting you know what each piece of software you had installed on your phone was doing.

In 48 hours, without even openeing the app /u/campbecw reported that Facebook had requested his location more than 2000 times.

We’re worried about the government accessing our phones and data, but don’t even think twice about good ol’ fashioned companies and what their intentions are.
